    "Celestia!"
The Princess of the sun saw her younger sister come bounding forward and stand over her. Luna flared her wings with a furious and glowing glare.
"STAY AWAY FROM HER!" She cried at the top of her lungs, her gaze directed at their foe.
Luna's horn lit up bright blue. Celestia stared in shock at the swirl of energy appearing. She could feel some sort of cosmic force at work. Almost as if Luna was raising twenty moons. Her eyes went wide at the event that began to unfold.
Pillars of blue light began to rise around them from the very cracks in the earth. The earth shook and rumbled from the energy. The clouds were thrown aside for the view of the moon in the middle of the day. And then something rose from the ground beneath the pillars.
A claw flew upwards and dug into the ground. Celestia gasped and managed to tear her eyes away from Luna to see what it was.
Beasts began to rise form the very earth. Creatures made of what Celestia sensed was pure moonlight. There was a scaly dragon, roaring with pure white eyes. A wolf, stag, snake, chimera- all creatures that could be considered part of the night. The stood slowly and hissed.
Once they were summoned, Luna collapsed.
Celestia had recognized those eyes. The way her mane began flowing. She knew the look from anywhere.
What kind of power had she summoned, if it nearly reawakened her?
    "LUNA!"

Luna angrily turned over at Celestia's constant string of terrible jokes.
Tia stopped, giggling at her while she pulled the blanket over her shoulders.
But a second later, her smile faded into a deep frown.
It wasn't often Celestia had such a serious look on her face, but the thought that was plaguing her forced the dead mood.
What had Luna done back there?
The beasts Luna had summoned seemed to be made from the moon's raw power.
But neither of them knew how to tap into such a thing.
All either could do was raise or lower their celestial aspect.
But it was like Luna had found that power in a desperate time of need.
Celestia wondered if she could do the same.

    Radiance.
The word appeared in Luna's mind as soon as the light began.
It was suddenly there, as if it was something she forgot and suddenly remembered.
Something important she was once told.
Her sister had the power of a star right at her hooves.
She was using that power to defend her ponies from the darkness.
An army made of sunlight descended from the heavens to protect Canterlot.
Soldiers wielding swords, daggers, bows, and shields charged forward without a war cry.
Noble creations with a single purpose- but all of the wisdom of the sun.
Celestia's mane gradually turned a new color.
Gold appeared from her roots and crawled across her multi-colored locks.
Her feathers had already turned golden, along with the tip of her horn.
the light and energy coming form her was blinding for Luna, and she could only use her own darkness to protect herself from it.
The color kept growing as the darkness was destroyed.
And as soon as Celestia's mane turned completely yellow, she opened her wings.
    The world went white.
Luna covered her eyes, hoping that it would not burn her.
She prayed for the best in the blinding second.
    It suddenly stopped.
The Princess of the night dared to uncover her face and see the aftermath.
The darkness was gone, but the world seemed pitch black without the light Celestia had suddenly given.
The sunlight solders were gone, their purpose having been completed. and Celestia was on the ground unconscious, back to normal.
    "TIA!"
Hey i did another one. Continuation of this, which is part of a mini-story of mine.
I kept thinking it looked bad and kept trying to fix it, but I eventually gave up.
Hope I got the light-warriors down!

She had been waiting for two days. Two days for Tia to wake up. After that battle, not only were they hurt, but her older sister was in a coma or still unconscious. Luna had recovered since then, considering her injuries weren't severe. But by the lack of power in her mane, Celestia was still sleeping to regain her energy. From whatever she had done.
There were hoofsteps behind her. Somepony dared to enter unannounced. Luna didn't turn, and was still sitting there and waiting.
    "Having fun, Princess?" Somepony mocked.
    Luna didn't turn.
"Must be boring sitting here." The mare continued. "Waiting for.... what again? Your sister to wake? Don't you have a kingdom to rule for her?"
"Leave." Luna said lowly. She didn't have the energy to argue or fight. Her emotions had run dry a day ago, and now she was numb.
    "No thanks, your highness."
The mare stepped closer. Luna sighed heavily, and turned.
There was nothing special about her, really. Just an earth pony with purple hair and a reddish coat. Luna, in her exhaustion, didn't check her magic levels, which was her first mistake.
"Who are you?" Luna demanded dryly.
"Nopony you know." The stranger replied casually, red eyes glowing. "Nopony your sister would know, either. I could be a friend, depending on your answer."
"My answer for what?" Luna growled, her guard beginning rise. She shifted and prepared to stand, but didn't want to leave Celestia. Just in case.
    "...What side are you on?"
Luna was surprised, confused, then wary. Her teal eyes squinted to a glare and she stood up.
The Princess of the night spread her wings. "My family's. The only one I have left."
And that was her second mistake.
The mare dissipated in a wisp of magic smoke.

That mare from before. Celestia had insisted on helping Luna follow her, even if she still needed to fully recover. Luna knew that arguing with her was impossible, and had allowed her to come.
"Here's your first job, ladies!" The mare mocked, as if she was hiring them. Luna glared harshly and Tia's ears folded to her head.
Then something strange happened. despite being an earth pony, the mare used magic. But not in a natural way.
A purple, glowing horn appeared. Magic swirled around it like it was authentic, but both sisters could sense the abnormality of it. It was... hard to describe what it seemed like. But the only words that appeared in their minds was "unholy".
The strange mare lifted a book. One with a picture of an eclipse.

"Sister, wake up." Luna said gently, nudging Celestia.
"Huh?" Tia mumbled, blinking awake. "Oh, sorry. What time is it?"
"One AM, sister. Perhaps you should rest instead of decrypting this book with me. You are not good at staying up late."
"I'm fine, Lulu." Celestia assured with a small smile. "Now, where were we?"
Her elder sister kept reading the pages, and reading the ancient language it was written in. Luna frowned at her, not continuing to read herself. So far, the book had just been explaining the sun and moon in detail. And the writing on the cover said "Eclipse". Something both were vaguely familiar with.
After several seconds, Luna spoke up again. "Perhaps we should let Twilight Sparkle read this. It is possible she can understand more than us."
"No, sis." Tia sighed. "I've already put too much of a burden on her. Before she was crowned, I might as well have put the weight of the world on her shoulders." Celestia looked sad for a second, and her eyes went out of focus. Luna understood her struggle. Testing her student had been Celestia's main concern, ever since she was eligible to be a princess. But there was always the underlying guilt that she was putting too much reassure on Twilight. And since then, she had been doing her best to leave her student out of situations she could handle herself.
Luna looked back down at the book and continued to read.
-I really don't want to write a bunch of stuff in the description for plot but y'know what can ya do
    -Here's more of the story:
Both sisters gasped when they read the same line.
"E-Eclipse?" Celestia stuttered, her exhaustion gone. "That is the mare's name?"
"How is it possible that she is written here?" Luna muttered with a squint. "This book tells of her like she is an Alicorn. Quick, which chapter does it say is about her?"
"Chapter thirty-four." Tia said seamlessly, and flipped the pages of the book. Her tone and posture completely changed from tired. They were both wide-awake now.
"Here." Luna said, gesturing with her hoof.
They both read what was written, and were shocked to say the least.

Celestia read the chapter out loud, her voice shaking. "Eclipse- born powerless in a time of gods. The only one of her kind that did not rule over a primal element in the solar system. Helpless and young, she was in the cosmos, waiting for a god to claim her as every other had done. But no one wished to raise a god without magic.
"However, two alicorns were the most sympathetic. Ones that had not raised a god of their own yet. They saw the crying foal and took her under their wings. They expected a name to come with her, as other children had, but not a word came to their minds. So, she grew up nameless, but loved.
"The alicorns who raised her tried a spell. One that had never been used before. A spell that would make her like the rest of the gods. Graceful wings and a powerful magic. Strong enough to create an aspect to rule over. Their spell failed, to say the least.
"The adolescent was wrapped in a mix of gold and blue magic. It swirled and combined into a violet mass. And from that well of energy, Eclipse bore her wings. But they were not biological wings. She had a horn and wings made out of magic."
Celestia paused, and swallowed the lump in her throat. Luna was tense next to her.
"Such an abomination had never been seen before." Tia continued shakily. "All gods around were disgusted by the unnatural appendages. And Eclipse was shunned as a monster.
"Her adoptive parents had never been more guilty and horrified. No attempt to reverse the spell worked. Eclipse then bore a grudge against them for all eternity. Her steps- once filled with light- filled the galaxy with darkness. A path very few had walked before.
"And thus, she swore vengeance against the Sun and Moon."
Luna gasped, and reread the last line. Celestia was pale and holding her breath.
"'The Sun and Moon?'" Luna repeated. "Those are the gods that raised her?"
