  • You are Sierra Scorch, a unicorn caravan guard with a wrench mark. You have just woken up from what has been quite a bad day for you.

Firstly, your caravan guard status is looking a bit shaky as the caravan you were guarding has been reduced into pile of ash, along with everything else in a 5-mile radius. Then again, there’s no one left to say you didn’t do your job properly, so that’s a plus.

Secondly, you had to explore a very not nice underground bunker, while quite low on blood, and with an evil ghoul lady who tried to kill you. And then you killed her back, which was maybe evil?

And lastly, you’ve woken up in a place that you have no knowledge of, tangled yourself in a blanket, and alienated the first person to talk to you.

All in all, not the best day ever. But hey, at least you’re alive. Mostly.

As for the here and now, your "travelling companions" are next door, there’s some other stuff in the room apparently, and you still have no idea where you are.

    >Just what will you do now?
    Page 227
  • Anon asked:Investigate the room you find yourself in
Anon asked:Search the room you are in quickly, only taking what is valuable and can help you. Then get the fuck out.
Anon asked:Open the drawers and see if your stuff is in there. Then go find your traveling companions. If you run into someone else, ask them what happened and where you are, in the least awkward way possible.

The room is pretty bare, a fan on the ceiling, a bed and some drawers. There’s only one door, you’ve already "taken" the blanket, so there’s just the drawers left..

Inside is your(?) stable clothes, a few books, a tin of some description, and a business card. They all seem a bit worn apart from the business card, and since they’re free to take, you might as well take them all.

    Gained:
    >Business Card
    >BOOK: "Pipbuck Operation 101, Vol. 1"
    >BOOK: "Stable Dweller’s Survival Guide"
    >BOOK: Faded Cover
    >Stable Jumpsuit
    >Faded tin

You keep it all in a little knapsack you make with your blanket. Efficient!

    —————————————————————————————————-

Anon asked:Sneak out and try to find your companions.
Anon asked:Find your companions and show off your undergarments to them for moral support.

You peek your head out very carefully to see if there’s anyone outside. The corridor is dimly lit, but you can’t see anyone down the length of it.

There’s a door at the end to your right, and a door either side of yours on the same wall. You guess the stallion is in one of those.

You could just get out of here without talking to him. Then again, you’re pretty sure he’s had just as bad a day as you, and hey, misery loves company.

    >What should you do?
    Page 228
  • Anon asked:We should probably put on that jumpsuit before walking around. Then go find Wander and that pegasus.

You equip the jumpsuit with surprising ease and speed. In fact, you’re not quite sure how you managed to get into it, especially with this knapsack tied to you.

Best not to think too hard about it.
    Page 229
  • Anon asked:Go find Wander!

Good idea! Time to find what’s-his-face, the brown one.

You’re not sure where these thoughts of a pegasus came from though, as far as you can remember you only found the wheel mark guy. Then again you did pass out a lot, so you could be misremembering.

Lacking any preference, you try the door with the large "03" painted on it with black paint. It seems empty though, and pretty dusty, guess you’ll have to try the other door.
    Page 230
  • Time to try door number one.

Huh, it appears there are in fact, two ponies in here. One in the bed covered by the blanket, and Green-Eyes-McScruffymane sitting on the floor.

He’s staring at something in his hand, and looking pretty sad. Maybe he needs some cheering up?

    >What’re you gonna do?
    Page 231
  • Anon asked:Can do a happy jig at finding him alive.

You attempt a little dance you swore you saw in a bar once, but lacking any grace, poise, or any real motor coordination, you end up making new friends with the floor
    Page 232
  • Anon asked:Has he noticed you yet? What’s that in his hooves?

As far as you can tell, he barely registers your presence. Which isn’t so bad, considering you just faceplanted in front of him.

Anon asked:Sit down next to him and ask him what’s wrong.

Even when you scoot on over to him from your position on the floor, he just keeps staring at the thing in his hoof.

Anon asked:Please, please calm down Sierra. You don’t want to hurt yourself!
Ask him how he’s doing, and ask him what happened. You’ve had a lot of black outs, the picture needs to be filled in completely.

Your face is still probably okay. It’s not the best face, but it does its job okay, no matter what those other ponies say! You don’t need their make up or their fancy schmancy creams or thei-

Er, you lost your train of though there.

The stallion is staring at something gold and shiny, you can’t quite make it out, but he seems quite into whatever it is.

    >You wonder what exactly to say to him.
    Page 233
  • Anon asked:Cough politely but sternly

You give a little cough, conveying just enough to emphasise that you are in fact, a living thing, and that you would really like to actually talk at some point. If you could, if you’re not too busy or whatever.

The stallion doesn’t look at you, but he does eventually talk.

    >"I know you’re there, jus’…"
"Uh, hi! I’m Sierra, we were in that Stable place and, y’know…"
    >"I know who you are, you’ve said a couple o’ times." He sighs deeply. "I’m… Wander. It’s nice to know you’re still alive."
    "Yeah, about that…"

You ask him a few questions about what happened during all those times you were knocked out. He answers in brief sentences with a pretty monotone voice.

Turns out he managed to pull your makeshift cart just far enough to get to a little cave and went looking for medical supplies, and ended up finding the Stable.

After the little ghoul incident he managed to pull both you and a pegasus from the cave far enough to the nearest settlement. In the snow no less!

You praise him on his endurance.

He doesn’t say anything in return.
