Autumn: Hey Daddy, why are we going to your room?

Daddy: I'm going to show you a new game sweetie.

Autumn: *GASP* Really?! Is it gonna be fun like hide and seek! Or tag! Or, or...

Daddy: Its going to be more of a uh......laughing, kind of fun. It's called pleasure.

    Autumn: Please-sure? That's a funny word.

Daddy: Yes it is, and I'm sure you're gonna have lots of fun with this game.

    Autumn: YAY!

    *Front door opens*
    Mommy: Hey everypony I'm home!

    Autumn: Mommy!

    Daddy: Dammit.

Mommy: Sweetie where are you two?

Daddy: Wait Autumn don't say anything about the....

Autumn: We're in yours and Daddy's room!

Mommy: You, are? *comes trotting quickly to them worried*
  • Page 2
    Mommy: What's going on here?

    Daddy: Oh we were just...

Autumn: Daddy was going to show me a new game! He said it's gonna be really fun, but like a laughing kind of fun, instead of fun like tag or hide-n-seek! Its called please-sure!

    Daddy: Dammit Autumn shut up!

Autumn: *scared cringe* S-sorry Daddy, I was jus..

Mommy: Please-sure? Pleas-ure. *dawning* *to Daddy* Just what in tartarus were you going to do to her?!

Daddy: Nothing! I was just going to teach her how things work around here.

Mommy: What the fuck is wrong with you! She's your daughter!

*daddy steps forward and Autumn falls off*

    Autumn: Uff! owie

Daddy: Exactly, which means I can do whatever the fuck I want with her!

Mommy: NO it doesn't! It means you need to care for her!

    *Autumn cowers by the wall*
  • Page 3
Daddy: Oh you mean like how you care for her by leaving her alone, while you go off and be a fucking whorse!

Mommy: And you think you're any fucking better! Doing every fucking mare you see! Including your own daughter who's only a filly!

Autumn: *whimpers in tears* M-Mommy, Daddy, p-please stop yelling.

Daddy: At least I'm actually teaching her something! She'll need to know how things work since she's going to end up a fucking slut just like you!

Mommy: NO SHE WON'T. She's going to be better than you, because you're not going to rape her like one of your fucking bitches!

Autumn: *Crying* P-please stop fighting. I'm sorry, I'll be good.

Daddy: OH you think so! Well she won't be any fucking better than you are. The way you treat her she'll end up being fucked by a random pony the first time she steps out the damn door! At least this way she'll know what to expect from being a slut!

Mommy: You fucking idiot! She will end up a slut if you're the one teaching her all that shit!

Autumn: *Wailing* I'm sorry! Just please stop fighting!

*both take notice of her finally*

Mommy: Oh look what you did now!

Daddy: Me?! Sorry bitch but this is as much your fault as it is mine! *to Autumn* Come here sweetie, I'll show you that game now, that'll make you feel better.

Mommy: *steps in between him and Autumn* No you won't!

Daddy: Get out of my way you fucking bitch! *shoves her aside*

Mommy: No you fucking ass! *tackles him*

    *fighting scuffle*

Autumn: *wailing on the ground with her head in her hooves*

*Mommy grabs up Autumn and leaves the house with her*

    Autumn: *looks back* Daddy!

"Autumn and her mother go to the train station where her mother purchases one way tickets to Withervale"

Autumn: *in tears* I'm sorry I made you and Daddy fight Mommy.

Mommy: Oh sweetie it's not your fault at all.

Autumn: But, you and Daddy were shouting about me. I'm really sorry I was bad. I'll be good from now on I promise.

Mommy: *hugs Autumn* Oh Autumn. You didn't do anything wrong at all, we weren't mad at you, we were mad at each other. You're Daddy was being a stupid mean pony that's all.

    ....

Autumn: Mommy, I wanna go home.
  • Page 4
Mommy: I'm sorry sweetie but we aren't going home. Ever. We're going to a new home.

Autumn: But, when is Daddy going to come with us?

Mommy: *deep sigh* I'm sorry sweetie, but Daddy isn't coming with us.

Autumn: What! But, why!? *starts crying again*

Mommy: Because, he's a bad pony and was going to do bad things to you.

Autumn: Daddy isn't a bad pony! He was going to show me a new game!

Mommy: *stern* Autumn, no. He wasn't going to play a game with you, he was going to do bad things to you.

    Autumn: But, but...

Mommy: Autumn, I need to tell you something. Your daddy is a bad pony, and you're not going to be seeing him again.

    Autumn: What! But, but, Daddy...

Mommy: I'm sorry sweetie, but I promise things will be better in our new home.

Autumn: I don't want a new home. I want to go back home to Daddy. I want us to all be happy, and have fun like we always do.

Mommy: I'm sorry Autumn, but that isn't going to happen again.

Autumn: *in tears* But, but, we were so happy, and, and..*cries*

Mommy: This is just how things are sweetie.
  • We got to our new home, but I don’t really like it.
    Daddy isn't here.
But Mommy keeps saying he was a bad pony, even though he was always nice and happy and played games with me all the time.
    I miss Daddy.
    Page 5

Mommy started to teach me lots of new things.
Like See-ence, and His-story, and math.
That’s an easy word to say.
But she keeps getting mad for some reason.
I always say I’m sorry and I’ll be good.
But Mommy keeps saying something about her not being able to teach me well.
I don’t know what that means, but it was still fun learning these cool things.

I still play lots of games with Mommy, but she always makes me go to bed really early.
She says she has to go out to work.
Which is weird since its already dark outside when she leaves.
Mommy also teaches me about bad ponies and what to do if I meet them.
But I really think saying hi is a lot nicer than kicking them in their butts and running away.

  • Page 6

Then one day Mommy says I’m going to school!
    I’ve heard of school before.
It's this amazing fun place where fillies and colts go to learn cool things and make lots of friends and have lots and lots of fun!
Mommy and Daddy never let me go for some reason.
    Am I really going there?
Mommy says I am, and I’m really excited about it.

    School is really fun.
I made a cool friend today and taught the bad pony bullies a lesson about being nice.
I really really wanna tell Mommy all about it and then play some more games and then ask her how to do homework and if it’s like her work.

  • Page 7
But when I got home Mommy wasn’t there. I know, she must be doing her work thingy. I’ll just wait for Mommy by the door then until she comes home. Then we can play lots of games.

    . . .

Mommy’s taking a really long time to get home. But I can wait, waiting is a really fun game Daddy taught me.

    . . . .

    It’s getting kinda dark now.

    . . . . .

*GASP* Yay! Mommy’s home, I’m really sleepy but its fine cause Mommy’s home and now we can play games and I can tell her about school and homework and all the fun things that happened!

But Mommy got mad at me for being up so late, and in the dark. But I told Mommy I was waiting for her and then she seemed really sad. She told me I shouldn’t be up so late, then took me to bed. I wanted to tell her all about school and how much fun it is, but I was really sleepy and Mommy said we could talk in the morning.

When I got up I wanted to tell Mommy all about school but she said she had to tell me something…

Mommy: Autumn, I need to talk to you about something.

    Autumn: Ok Mommy. *waits happily*

Mommy: *takes a deep breath* Autumn, I, umm….

    Autumn: *eagerly waiting*

Mommy: Autumn, I don’t want you to stay up waiting for me.

Autumn: *downcast* Oh, I’m sorry I made you mad last night Mommy.

Mommy: No sweetie it ok. I just don’t want you staying up that late.

Autumn: But Mommy, I wanna play games with you. And I wanna tell you about school!

Mommy: I really want to do those things with you Autumn, but… my… job goes really late and I won’t be home until after dark.

Autumn: That’s ok Mommy, I can wait. Daddy taught me that game and its really fun. And you’re really good at that game, Daddy told me so.

Mommy: He, did? Dammit that bastard. Sweetie, how about this. Before you start playing the wait game, do all your homework and then wait in your bed. Then we can talk about school when I get home.

Autumn: *happy smile* Ok Mommy! Uh, can you tell what homework is though?

So Mommy taught me what homework is. Its like learning things at home, which is really fun. I got really good at doing homework. Mommy says I’m really smart. I did my homework and then sat on my bed for the waiting game. Mommy is really good at this game, its dark outside again, but I’m gonna win again! But then I got really sleepy, and when I woke up it was morning. Mommy said that was fine and then told me I need to eat food while I wait. Then she taught me how to make foods.

Mommy started teaching me lots of stuff. How to make my own lunch, how to turn the house lights on, how to get to school, how to tuck myself into bed, and what to do about stranger ponies. It was really fun cause now I can do like, a lot of cool things.

I keep doing what Mommy tells me before I play the waiting game. I sometimes win and then I get to tell Mommy all about school. But most of the time I fall asleep before Mommy gets home.

One day before school Mommy had a really long talk. She sounded really sad...
  • Page 8
Mommy: Autumn, sweetie, I need to tell you something.

    Autumn: Ok!

Mommy: I, I...My work is going to take me a lot longer now. I don't want you to play the waiting game anymore sweetie.

    Autumn: *sad* Awwww.

Mommy: Sorry sweetie but you need your sleep to grow up into a big pony.

    Autumn: Ok Mommy.

Mommy: I also won't be around to take you to school in the mornings. Do you remember how to get to school?

Autumn: Ooo! Yus I do! You take a left then a right, then go straight for four houses, then another left for three houses then a right and then I'm at school!

Mommy: Yes, very good sweetie, that's right. And you remember how to make your lunch?

Autumn: Yes, but I really like it when you make it Mommy.

Mommy: *wince* Well I'm sorry sweetie but I won't be able to do that often anymore.

Autumn: Aww, ok Mommy.*remembers, excited* Oh! Mommy, Doc wants me to have a sleepover at her house! Can I go please pleaseplease PLEASE?! *puppy eyes*

Mommy: *happy desperate* Yes, sweetie you can. In fact if you ever want to hang out at her house its ok with me. And you can stay as long as they want you to.

Autumn: *excited happy* HUH! Really Mommy!? Thank you! *hugs Mommy*

Mommy: *happy sad* You're welcome sweetie. *remembers* There's another thing I need to tell you sweetie.

    Autumn: *super excited* Ok!

Mommy: Sweetie you know how Daddy is a bad pony.

    Autumn: *calms down* Yes.

Mommy: Well, I would like you to stay away from colts. They're bad ponies.

Autumn: What! But, but, there's lots of colts in my class, and none of them are bad ponies!

Mommy: Not now maybe. But colts become mean ponies when they grow up sweetie.

    Autumn: *somber* A-All colts do?

Mommy: *hesitates* No, most colts are mean ponies sweetie. But, some are nice. You just need to be careful and know which ones are nice and which ones are bad ponies. You're a smart filly, I know you'll be able to tell.

    Autumn: Ok Mommy.

Mommy: And you remember what I said about ponies you like, right? How you show them you like them?

Autumn: Yush! You give them a kiss!

Mommy: Yes, but only ponies you really really like ok?

    Autumn: Ok Mommy!

Mommy: Good, now one last thing sweetie. I want you to keep going to school, even if you don't see me in the mornings, ok?

    Autumn: Ok Mommy.

Mommy: *sad* Good, now, you'd better be off to school now.

Autumn: *hugs Mommy* Ok, bye Mommy!

    Mommy: *sad tears* G-Goodbye Autumn.

    . . .

    *lets go of Autumn*

Autumn: *worried* Mommy, why are you crying?

Mommy: I'm fine sweetie, just happy is all. You just go to school and have fun at your sleepover.

Autumn: *cheers up* Ok Mommy! Don't be sad no more then. *runs to school* Bye Mommy!

    Mommy: *waves, crying* Goodbye Sweetie!

I had lots of fun at Doc's sleepover, they let me stay the whole weekend! When I got home Mommy wasn't there, but that's ok. I made food and went to bed like she told me. She wasn't there when I woke up either, but that's ok too, I made my lunch and went to school like she told me to.

    . . .

I haven't seen mommy for a lot of days now. But its ok, I'll just do what she told me to and then she'll be home tomorrow.

    . . . .

M-Mommy still isn't home, but that's ok, she'll be home tomorrow for sure.

    . . . . .

Tomorrow, Mommy will be home tomorrow for sure!

    . . . . . .

M-maybe Mommy is just w-working a lot. That must be it! She'll be back tomorrow for sure then!

    . . . . . . .

Mommy didn't come home today either, but I'm sure she'll be home, soon.

    . . . . . . . .

I'm gonna keep waiting for Mommy. I'll do what she said to do, and then I'll wait.
I can wait. I'm really good at that game...
  • *Outside the school yard*

Mommy: Ok Autumn here we are. Now you remember how to get home right?

Autumn: Yus! I go left for three houses, then right for four houses, then a left and a right and then I'm at home!

Mommy: Good sweetie, I knew you were super smart! Now I may not be home when you get there so just use the key I gave you and you can open the door. I'll be home after you get there.

    Autumn: Ok Mommy!

Mommy: Alright you better get going sweetie.

Autumn: Ok! *hugs Mommy* Bye Mommy!

Mommy: Bye sweetie. Now go have fun, uh, learning!

Autumn: *runs into the schoolyard* I will Mommy! Bye!

*Autumn runs to the front of the schoolhouse*
    Page 9
    ???: Hey! you!

Autumn: *stops**turns to filly* Oh hello! I'm Autumn Science! What's your name!

???: That's not important right now. You're the new pony right?

Autumn: Uh, I guess. It's my first day of school and its gonna be super fun!

???: Uh...right. Anyway, you see those two fillies on the playground? *points to playground* The yellow and orange one and the pink and blue one.

Autumn: Yup, they look really nice!

???: Well they're anything but nice. Those are the bullies, Glimmering Star and Glitzy Show. They love picking on new fillies so you'll wanna avoid them at all costs!

    Autumn: Umm, what's a bully?

???: What?! You don't know what a bully is?

Autumn: *shakes head* Nope! *Notices something in ???'s mane*

    ???: A bully is a...

Autumn: *points to ???'s mane* Uh hey, you got something in your mane!

???: *defeated* Aw dangit, I-I was hoping you wouldn't notice. T-that's my horn.

Autumn: *shocked* Wait. You're a unicorn!

???: Y-yeah. Go on, make fun of me, that's what everypony else do....

    Autumn: THAT'S SO AMAZING!

    ???: Wait, what?

Autumn: *super excited* That's so cool! You could be like, a secret agent or something! You could hide your horn in your mane and everypony would think you're an earth pony, and then you could do earth pony things but really you're doin unicorn things and nopony would even know!

???: I, I never really thought of that. *notices Autumn's beaming smile* Um, e-everypony calls me Doc.

    Autumn: OOO really, why's that?

Doc: Everypony thinks I'm a doctor because I'm really smart and all.

Autumn: *GASP* Really! My Mommy says I'm super smart too! *GASP* We can be super smart buddies together!

Doc: R-really? Nopony ever wants to be my friend.

Autumn: Well now I'm your friend! *hugs Doc*

Doc: *surprised* Wow, thanks, uh, Autumn right?

    Autumn: Yup!

    *school bell rings*

Doc: Come on. We'd better get to class.

    Autumn: Ok!

School is super fun! The nice teacher taught all about the things Mommy was teaching me, but they sounded kinda different. But Mommy told me that might happen and that the teacher knows more then she does. The teacher even let me say hi to all the other foals! They all seem really nice and happy. But that one yellow filly Doc says is a bully gave me a smile that didn’t look very nice. Then we got to go to recess! Which Doc says is when we’re supposed to hide from the bullies. I like hide and seek! I’m really good cause Daddy could never find me!

Doc: Ok Autumn, we gotta find a place to hide before...

Glimmering Star: *lands right in front of them* *evil smirk* Well, well, well. Looks like the new filly's finally here. What's wrong? Don't wanna say hi?

    *Doc cowers behind Autumn*

Autumn: *happy* Oh, hi! My name's Autumn Science! What's yours?
  • Page 10
Glitzy Show: *walks up beside Glimmering* *disbelief* What's her name?! She's the pony everypony should know! She's Glimmering Star! And everypony knows who she is!

Glimmering: *smug* Thank you Glitzy. And what kind of a name is Science?!

Autumn: *confused happy* Um, its part of my name!

Glitzy: Hmph, well its a pretty lame name.

Autumn: *oblivious happy* Thanks, I like it too!

Glimmering: Of course you would. You're a blank flank anyway so you'll like anything.

Autumn: Uh, what's a blank flank?

Glitzy: Wow! For a pony who's called science you're really dumb.

Glimmering: You don't have a cutie mark, which means you don't have a special talent like everypony else. So you're a blank flank!

Autumn: Uh, what does that have to do with anything?

    *both gasp*

Glitzy: It has to do with everything! No cutie mark means you don't have a talent, which means you can't do anything! You're not special or anything!

    Autumn: *confused* Huh?

Glimmering: *gestures to playground and ponies in turn* Look around! Everypony else has a cutie mark. Your nerdy horn friend has hers, even that wimpy nopony colt and his monster sister have their cutie marks. Everypony has a cutie mark, except you! *points to Autumn* You're worse than anypony else here!

    *bully laughter*

Doc: *jumps in front of Autumn* *trembling* H-hey! Y-you leave h-her alone!

Glitzy: Oooo look, its shrimpy horn!

    *cowers in tears* *Autumn shocked*

Glimmering: HA! Your horn's so small you can't even do any magic! *more bully laughs*

Autumn: *jumps in front of Doc determined faced* HEY! Don't you be mean to her!

Glitzy: Oh look. The blank flank wants some too.

Glimmering: Yeah blank flank, you can't do anything without a special talent!

Autumn: I don't care if I don't have a special talent! You're just mean ponies and I won't let you be mean to my friend!

Glimmering: *in Autumn's face* Oh yeah! What are you gonna do about it?

Autumn: *confused* Oh, uh, I'm gonna, umm, I'm gonna....*idea face* Ima hugs you! *hugs both Glimmering and Glitzy*

Glimmering: *surprised* Wha, hey! Let go of me you stupid blank flank!
Glitzy: *surprised* Get off of me you weirdo!

Autumn: *determined* No! Not until you stop being mean ponies!

Glimmering: *gets wings free then flies away setting Glitzy free as well* Ugh! You're a weirdo blank flank. *lands and trots away*

    Glitzy: *follows Glimmering* You weirdo!

Doc: *runs in front of Autumn* *shocked happy* Oh my gosh Autumn! That was amazing! *hugs Autumn*

Autumn: *hugs back happy* Yay hugs!

Doc: How did you do that!? You just, hugged them away!

Autumn: They were being mean ponies to you and I didn't want you to be sad. Mommy said I'm supposed to kick mean ponies in the butt but I didn't want to do that, so I gave them hugs instead!

Doc: Well it worked! You got them to leave us alone! Maybe forever! *remembers* Autumn, do-do you really not care about not having a cutie mark?

Autumn: Nope! My Mommy says I'll get my cutie mark when its ready to be got, so I don't worry about it really.

Doc: Wow, well I can help you find it if you want.

Autumn: *excited* That sounds like a lot of fun! How do we start?

Doc: Well, first we can find out what you're good at, and then we can try things you like, and then...

Autumn: *looks to playground* Hey Doc?

    Doc: Yeah?

Autumn: *points to the playground* What's going on down there?

Doc: *looks to playground* *somber* Oh, Glimmering and Glitzy are just picking on another pony. Since they couldn't bully you they're just going after another pony.

Autumn: *shocked* What! They're being meanie ponies again!

Doc: Well, yeah, they do that to everypony. But don't worry, you scared them off so they won't bother us again for awhile.

Autumn: *determined* But, they're being mean to other ponies! *looks to playground* I'm going to make them stop being meanie ponies! *starts running to them*

Doc: *panics* Wait, what! *runs after Autumn* No, you just got them to leaves us alone! You don't need to do anything else!

Autumn: Nuh uh, they shouldn't be mean to other ponies and I won't let them!

    Doc: W-wait! Autumn, stop!

Autumn: *gets to Glimmering and Glitzy and jumps between them and the other foal* Hey! You stop being mean to her!

Glimmering: *surprised* Huh! Oh, its the blank flank again. What do you want!?

Glitzy: Yeah, can't you see we're busy here!

    *crowd of foals gather around*
  • Page 11
Autumn: You're just being meanie ponies again!

Glimmering: This is none of your business blank flank!

Glitzy: We're not even being mean, we're just saying the facts.

Autumn: Nuh uh! You're making her cry which means you're being mean ponies!

    Glitzy: As if!

Glimmering: We can do whatever we want to anypony in this school, blank flank!

Autumn: Not if you're being mean to other ponies! You're supposed to be nice to everypony so everypony can be happy!

Glimmering: I'm pretty happy blank flank. Everypony knows me and I get whatever I want! That's all that matters! I don't need to be nice!

    Autumn: Yes you do!

Glimmering: No I don't! I'll do whatever I want to anypony I want to! And there's nothing you can do about it!

Autumn: Nuh uh! I'm gonna give you hugs until you stop being meanies! *tries to hug them*

Glitzy: *runs away* Eww! Get away you weirdo!

Glimmering: *flies up* You're just a loser and a weirdo blank flank! Come on Glitzy!

    *both leave*

    . . . . .

    Crowd of foals: *cheering* YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Doc: *runs up to Autumn* OH. MY. CELESTIA! Autumn that was incredible! You, you just, made them run away! *hugs Autumn* You beat the bullies!

Autumn: *hugs back* Yay! More hugs! Are they gonna be nice ponies now?

Doc: Um, I don't think so Autumn.

Autumn: *sad* Aww. *perks up* That's ok! I'll just give them hugs until they stop being mean ponies!

    *school bell rings*

Doc: Later, we gotta get back to class.

We went back to class and I got to learn even more things! Everypony is saying really nice things to me now. I tried to hug the mean ponies again, but they just ran away. Then we got a thing called homework. I'll ask Mommy what that is when I get home. Then the teacher said it was time to go home.
  • Page 12
Doc: Hey, Autumn. D-do you wanna hang out and play some games at my house?

Autumn: *GASP* That sounds like a lot of fun! *remembers* But Mommy said I needed to come home right after school. So I'll ask her then.

Doc: Oh, ok, maybe tomorrow then?

Autumn: I'll ask Mommy, I just know she'll say yes!

Doc: Awesome! I'll see you tomorrow then Autumn.

Autumn: *starts running home* Ok! Bye Doc!

    Doc: *waves* Bye Autumn!

I can't wait to get home and tell Mommy all about today!
  • Page 13
Doc and I started hanging out all the time after that. Mommy would let me hang out with her whenever I wanted, so we would play lots and lots of games together. But I always got home so I could wait for Mommy. The bullies kept being mean ponies so I kept hugging them to make them stop. One day they stopped coming to school. Somepony said they went to a place called Mane-hat-on to "make it big". I don't know what that means, but the place sounds pretty funny. Like, does everypony there wear hats? Anyway, now there wasn't anymore mean ponies at school! So everypony was much happier.

After the sleepover with Doc I did what Mommy said to do everyday. But I haven't seen her for a while now. It's been a lot of days since I've seen Mommy. The house is really empty now, and the waiting game isn't very fun anymore, Mommy's just too good at it. So now I hang out with Doc all the time! Even more than before! We do a lot of things together, like today Doc wants me to help her with an exper-i-mint. Which sounds really fun!

    Doc: Ok Autumn, try this.

    Autumn: Ok! *drinks potion*

Doc: So? *ready to write down things*

    Autumn: So, what?

Doc: Do you feel any different?

Autumn: My tummy's a little tingly.

Doc: *writes down* Ok, ok, what else?

Autumn: *surprised* Whoa! Now my whole body feels tingly!

Doc: *excited* Good, good. Now try to run around a little.

Autumn: *gallops around in a circle really fast* *stops* OHMYGOSH what was that?!

Doc: *really excited* That was a speed potion. It makes you move really fast!

Autumn: *GASP* REALLY *tries to run again but falls on face* Owie. What happened? Why can't I run anymore?

Doc: Hmm, it seems the potion didn't last as long as I'd hoped it would.

Autumn: Really? Well if you add some glowstones it should last a lot longer.

    Doc: *surprised* What?

Autumn: Also if you put some redstones in it that could make ponies go even faster!

Doc: I'm not so su...*thinking* Hmmm. *checks her notes* Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

    Autumn: *happy smile*

Doc: *shocked* Autumn...y-you're right! H-how did you do that!?

Autumn: I don't know, I just knew that you had to add those things to make it better!

Doc: But, but how?! You don't even know what this is made of!

Autumn: Yeah I do! It's got water, and warts, and some sugar in it!

Doc: *amazed* B-b-b-but, I-I never told you what's in it! H-how did you know?

    Autumn: I just do.

Doc: Autumn, that's incredible! *grabs another potion* Here! Try this one!

    Autumn: Ok!

I tried some more potions for Doc. They're really cool, but I knew what could make them even better so I told Doc what she could add to them and she's really surprised.

Doc: *shocked stunned* Autumn, this is amazing! They're like 20% better now at least!

Autumn: Yay! I've tried to tell other ponies how to make their things better too, but nopony ever listens to me.

Doc: Really?! Well they should listen to you. Autumn, that's a gift! You could help so many ponies with that!

    Autumn: Really?

Doc: Yeah! Think about it! You could improve so many things and help out a lot of ponies if they would just listen to what you tell them!

Autumn: *thinks about it**realization face**GASP*OHMYGOSHDOC! You, you're right! I wanna help everypony now! I-I can help other ponies make all their thingies work better! *starts shining*Whoa, I, I can help everypony!*glows, flashes, glow fades*

    Doc: *GASP*

    Autumn: What?

Doc: *super happy* A-Autumn. Y-you got your Cutie Mark!

Autumn: *shocked*looks at flank*GASP* I GOT MY CUTIE MARK! Doc! I got my cutie mark! *hugs Doc* YAY!

Doc: *hugs back*YAY! You got your Cutie Mark!

Autumn: I know! Thank you Doc! *stops hugs* I got my Cutie Mark and it's all because of you!

Doc: *embarrassed* Ahh, it wasn't me really, you're the one with the awesome talent.

Autumn: Yeah, but you helped me figure it out with your super fun experiments!

Doc: *blush* Aww, i-it was nothing really, t-that's what friends are for.

Hmm, I need to show Doc how awesome she is for this. What was it Mommy said about ponies I like? That's right! If it's somepony you really like you give them a kiss! Well I really like Doc, and she's my best friend.

Autumn: Hey Doc, I wanna give you something better than a hug for being the bestest friend ever!

Doc: *confused* Huh? Ok then. What is it?

    Autumn: *kisses Doc*

    Doc: *shocked**frozen*

    . . . .

    Autumn: *ends kiss*

    Doc: *furious blushing* A-a-autumn, w-w-why d-did you j-just k-kiss me?

Autumn: Because you're my best friend!

    Doc: *worried* B-but, d-do you r-really, l-l-like me, l-l-like t-that?

Mommy: Mommy said you kiss a pony if you really like them. And how can I not like you Doc? You helped me get my cutie mark AND you're my best friend! *hugs*

Doc: I-I, t-thank you Autumn. *returns hug* Y-you're my best friend too.

    . . . . . .

Autumn: *remembers* Oh! I gotta get home and show Mommy my cutie mark!

Doc: Oh, I'll bet she'll be really happy to see it!

Autumn: Yeah! I hope she'll be home today.

Doc: Huh? Isn't she going to be home anyway?

Autumn: I hope so! I haven't seen Mommy for a while now.

Doc: *surprised* Really? When was the last time you saw her?

Autumn: *thinks* Hmmmmm..... I think its been 27 days now.

    . . . . .

    Doc: *stunned open-mouth*W-what?!

Autumn: *confused* Doc? Are you ok?

Doc: D-did you say you haven't seen your Mom for 2-27 days?

Autumn: Yup! But she'll be home today for sure!

Doc: *shocked sad* A-autumn, I don't think she...uh, d-do you wanna have a sleepover tonight?

Autumn: *GASP* REALLY?! *remembers* But, I gotta show Mommy my cutie mark.

Doc: I-uh, you can show her tomorrow. I'm sure she won't mind if she doesn't see it right away.

Autumn: But, I don't wanna wait!

Doc: *nervous* Well, uh, how about you just come over to my house for a little bit then before you go? You can show my parents your cutie mark. I'm sure they'd love to see it.

Autumn: *thinking* Hmmm, I guess so, ok!

Doc is taking me to her house, but she seems really nervous. But every time I ask her about it she has this weird smile and says everything is fine. But, I'm not so sure it is...

Doc: Hey Autumn, you go on to my room I'm gonna, uhh, get something to drink. *forced smile*

Autumn: Ok! *goes to Doc's room*

Doc: Phew. *goes to kitchen**sees mom* H-hey Mom?

Mom: Yes darling. *notices Doc's face* Oh dear, darling what's wrong?

Doc: I, umm, A-autumn, she, h-her Mom, s-she, hasn't been, well uh, Autumn...

Mom: Come on darling speak clearly now.

    Doc: Autumnhasn'tseenhermominamonth!

    Mom: Come again?

Doc: A-autumn hasn't seen her Mom in a month.

Mom: *skeptical* Really dear? Are you sure she isn't just making things up?

Doc: She's not Mom, she said she hasn't seen her Mom in 27 days! I-I think she might have l-left Autumn.

Mom: Darling I think you might just be overreacting a little bit.

Doc: No I'm not Mom! Here, ask Autumn yourself!

    Mom: *sigh* Very well.

"Doc and Mom go to Doc's room"

    Mom: Hello Autumn.

Autumn: Hi! Look! I got my cutie mark! *shows flank*

Mom: Oh, its very lovely darling.

    Doc: *motions her Mom*

Mom: *sigh* Autumn darling I was wondering if I could speak to your mother, do you know when she'll be home?

Autumn: *happily* Oh she should be home tonight. If not I'm sure she'll be home tomorrow!

Mom: Oh, isn't she going to be home tonight?

Autumn: She should be! But if she's not she'll be home tomorrow for sure!

Mom: *deadpan* Ugh. Ok, when was the last time you saw your mother darling?

Autumn: That's an easy one! 27 days!

Mom: *surprised* Really? Are you sure darling?

Autumn: Yup! Mommy always leaves me a note whenever she's home. But I haven't seen a note since then.

Mom: *worried* But how are you eating then, if your mother isn't there to make you food?

Autumn: Mommy taught me how to make my own lunch. She told me if I ever get hungry to make some lunch to eat. But I kinda miss her dinner.

    Mom: *shocked* R-really?

Autumn: Yup, Mommy taught me all sorts of things. Like how to tuck myself into bed, how to turn all the house lights on and off, and how to lock and unlock the doors! It's really awesome cause I can do a lot of super awesome big pony things! Though I hope Mommy comes home soon. I'm almost out of bread to make pb and j sandwiches, and they don't really taste that good anymore.

    Mom: *horrified*. . . . .

Autumn: *notices her face* Uh, are you ok?

Dad: *enters front door* I'm home everypony!

Mom: *snaps out of it* Oh, uh, yes darling I'm fine. Would you two excuse me for a moment. *leaves room*

Autumn: Ok! *to Doc* Hey Doc, your Mommy asks a lot of fun questions.

    Doc: *stunned*. . . .

Autumn:*confused* Uh Doc? You ok? Your mouth is kinda open and everything.

Doc: *snaps out of it* Oh yeah, Autumn, I-uh-I'm fine! So ,uhhhhh,h-how are you?

Autumn: *happily* I'm awesome, how are you?

Mom: *enters the room* Umm, Autumn darling, would you mind if we went to your house to talk with your mother?

Autumn: *gasp* That'd be super fun! I'm sure she'd love to meet you all!

Mom:*forced smile* Good, let's go now.

    Autumn: Yay!

    "outside Doc's house"

Dad: Hello Autumn. Do you know how to get to your house?

Autumn: Yush! Mommy taught me how to get home from school! You go left for three houses, then right for four houses, then a left and a right and then you're at my house! Uh, but can we go to school first? I don't know where we are right now.

Dad: *glances at Mom* Oh sure.

Doc showed me back to school and then I showed everypony how to get to my home. It was fun leading everypony to a place only I knew how to get to, but Doc's Mommy and Daddy didn't seem to be having any fun. I hope Mommy's home, but if not I can show them the waiting game!

Autumn: *unlocks door* Here we are! Home! *slips on letters* Whoa! Stupid letters! The postpony keeps putting these letters on the floor and I can't make them stop. *goes to find Mommy*

    Doc: *follows*

Mom: *picks up some letters* Oh no. *flips through them* Dear, these are overdue bills.

Dad: *picks up a letter* "Eviction notice" Oh my. *whispers to Dad* Honey, I think Autumn might be telling the truth.

Autumn: *comes back into room* Mommy's not home right now. But if you want, you can play the waiting game with me!

    Mom: The, "waiting game"?

Autumn: Yeah! It's where I sit on my bed and wait for Mommy to get home. Or until I fall asleep, which happens a lot. But I keep falling asleep now and its not too fun anymore. Mommy's too good at it.

    Dad,Mom,Doc: *collective shock*

Dad: Well, that answers that question. Autumn honey would you mind if you stayed at our home for a while?

    Autumn: *GASP* that'd be awesome!

Mom: Wait, what are you doing?

Dad: I'm giving her a place to stay so she's not alone.

Mom: But, we can't take care of two foals!

Dad: Dear, she's practically been living with us for the past two weeks anyway. We'll be fine.

Mom: I'm not sure. Autumn darling, when did your mother say she'd be home?

    Autumn: Oh Mommy said. . . . . .

    Doc: *worried* Autumn?

Autumn: *thinking* Mommy, uh, Mommy. . . .*realizes* M-Mommy never said. . . *sad*

    . . . .
  • Page 16
Dad: I do believe that settles it.

Autumn: *disbelief* She, she only said goodbye. . . .

Mom: Come on now, how can we be sure she's not mistaken?

Autumn: M-Mommy never said she would be home.

Dad: Dear the evidence is everywhere. Her mother is not coming home.

    Autumn: *sad shock* W-what?

Mom: B-but that's crazy! Why would she abandon her own foal?

Autumn: *tears* M-mommy's not coming home?!

    Doc: *worried* A-Autumn?

Dad: I don't know, but I do know this filly is about to be homeless.

Autumn: M-mommy's, g-gone. *breaks down wailing*

Doc: Autumn! *rushes to Autumn and hugs her*

Mom: *shocked* Oh no. . .

Dad: *sad sigh* I'll go get her things. *leaves room*

Autumn: *cries on the floor with Doc hugging her*

    . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Mommy, are you really gone? Doc's Mommy and Daddy said I'm staying with them now, and that I can't go back home anymore. They said its not my home now. I went back home once, and there are stranger ponies living in it now.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Mommy, you said you would never leave. You said we were going to be happy together.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I'm still waiting Mommy, but, its been 116 days now. Its kinda fun to count to that number. But, its a big number and for days, its a really long time so it's not really a fun number.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Mommy, you really are gone. And it makes sense now that you taught me those things. You were never going to stay, were you?

    . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Mommy, you lied to me. You said we'd be together and happy, but, you're gone.

    . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Why did you lie to me? What else did you lie to me about? Did you lie to me about Daddy? Why did you take me away from him, just to leave me yourself?

    . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Mommy, why, why did you lie? Why did you leave me? Why. . . .

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

You left me Mommy. But now, I don't think I care anymore. You never really cared either, did you? That's why you left. You never cared. But, maybe, maybe Daddy did care. maybe that's why you took me away from him. Maybe. . . .

    . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Autumn: Well, I guess this is it then.

Doc: Yeah, classes start next week.

Autumn: You'll do awesome I'm sure. You're the smartest pony I know.

    . . . .

Doc: You know Autumn, you could still apply. I just know they'd let you in.

Autumn: Nah, I think I'll pass. I'd rather stay here, you know.

    Doc: *disappointed* I guess.

Autumn: And hey, it's not like we'll never see each other. I can visit you on the weekends and you'll be back here for holidays and breaks and stuff.

Doc: Yeah, that'll be fun. I hope...

Autumn: *teasing* You bet it'll be fun. I can guarantee I'll be able to get some new sounds out of you too.

Doc: *furious blushing* C-come on Autumn, not here.

Autumn: Aww, but you're just so cute when you're blushing.

Doc: Stop that! Anyway, shouldn't you try to find a real lover?

Autumn: Naw, why would I find somepony else when I got you?

    Doc: *worried* Autumn.

    Conductor: ALL ABOARD!!

Doc: *sigh* Well, I guess that's my cue.

Autumn: *awkward* I guess it is. Well, I'll see you around.

Doc: Yeah, see ya. *hugs Autumn*

    Autumn: *hugs back*

Doc: *breaks hug enters train**train leaves**waves*

    Autumn: *waves back*

Well, the last few years have been, well, interesting. Yeah, let's go with that. After Doc left for her fancy unicorn school, her parents offered to let me stay with them, being the good ponies they are and all. But I knew they were barely getting by taking care of both Doc and I, and they're still funding Doc at the school. So I decided to ease their burden and find my own place. That honestly wasn't easy, considering, you know, I didn't have any money. But I wasn't about to tell them that. Unfortunately the jobs weren't helpful on that front either. Getting a job is easy, keeping them though, is not. Apparently Ponies really don't like it when you tell them how their business could be done better. No matter how helpful, reasonable, or practical it is, all it does is get you fired. Often times with lots of yelling.

It also turns out my bitch of a Mom was actually telling the truth about a couple things. One, I'm smart, and two, stallions are assholes. Or at least, all of the ones I've run into are. Seriously, it doesn't matter how many times you tell them no, they just keep coming for you. They think they're entitled to all mares or something. And they think that working in groups actually increases their intelligence too, haha, nope. If anything it just makes them dumber and easier to fool. Doesn't matter how much muscle you've got, a little telekinesis and some brains and those stallions will just keep running into each other all day, and I never get a single scratch.

My Mom. What a bitch. I still can't believe what she did. She took me away from Dad, filled me with lies, and then abandoned me, as a filly! I'm lucky Doc's family was so willing to take me in when they did. If they hadn't, I would've been thrown onto the streets the next day. And I can guarantee I wouldn't have lasted long then. I still remember the last time I saw Dad too. Him and Mom were arguing about me, and then my ass of a Mom took me away. I remember what they said too, but I know all of it's been twisted by my stupid Mom. I don't even know for sure if he ever found out where we went. For some reason though, I have a feeling he does know. It's not based on anything really, just a feeling. That's why I didn't go with Doc to her school. I'm waiting, here in Withervale, because I know he'll find me. Someday, somehow, I know he will. Maybe then, we can be a family again.

  • Page 19
Speaking of Doc, she's still as smart and sexy as she's ever been. I was able to see her plenty of times while she was at that unicorn school, its pretty easy to get to really. We still have lots of fun too, certainly the nights we've spent banging were really fun. Of course I also tried romancing her, and for a while we were pretty happy. But, eventually I could tell she wasn't really into it, and after all the times she told me herself, it finally sunk in. We're still best friends though, that much we both wanted. And I can still convince her to have some pretty great banging sessions every now and then. But, we're just not "together" together.

And it seems that's just how my track record goes with mares. I've made plenty of friends, and gotten close to several of them. And we'd always have some awesome bang sessions. But, they were never interested in a relationship. Most of the time after I'd tell them about my feelings, they'd stop talking to me, a few I never even saw again. But there's always other mares out there, I've just gotta find the one who'll actually like me.

Anyway I don't have many bits. Luckily for me, Withervale just started a housing program to try and deal with the space issue. Its half the price of normal rent, and its an actual house. All I have to do is tolerate living with another pony. I can't live with a mare though, since we'd probably bang every night. Which means, sigh, I have to live with a stallion. Shouldn't be too hard, right?
  • Page 20
Ugh! Where is this guy? It's been ten minutes and this stallion's still nowhere to be seen. He'll probably be a bust just like the last four. Seriously, I can't believe some stallions are signing up for this program just so they can get at mares. If this doesn't work I may just take up Doc's offer to move in with her. It'd certainly make getting to this new job of hers a lot easier. Plus I could probably get her into some amazing bang sessions with me. But, I still can't leave town. Damnit why can't I get a stallion that isn't a jerk, or a pervert, or some entitled sexist? Maybe its just my luck, maybe its my stupid Mom's slut genes.

    sigh

This guy's probably going to be an ass too. He's probably going to come waltzing in "fashionably late" and try to be all suave and slick. Ugh, I wonder if it's that weirdo poking his head around the corner over there? Nah, probably just some. . .

Ohh heeeyyyyyy, a pretty mare! Hey there babe.

    . . . . .

That was the most interesting thing to happen today. And she even turned me down too.

Oh Celestia, I think it is that weirdo. He's walking straight towards me now.

Oh no, he's gonna be one of those guys with a high sense for horrible fashion.

I mean comeon! Nopony in their right mind would wear a hat that orange! Its. . .

    Wait a minute, that's not a hat. . .

OH MY GOSH ITS A TINY FOX!

Autumn: OHMYGOSH! Your fox is so cute and tiny!

Forest: *nervous surprised* Oh, uh, thanks.

    Autumn: Can I hold it?

Forest: *looks to Fen Fen* Oh sure. His name's Fen Fen.

Autumn: *gasp* *grabs Fen fen and gives hugs* Hello Fen Fen!

    Fen Fen: *happy fox noises*

Forest: So, uh, y-you're here for the housing program, right?

Autumn: *serious again* Yup, and I presume you are as well?

    Forest: Y-yeah. I'm Forest Sketch.

Autumn: *thinking* "Forest" Hhmm. I feel like I've heard that name before. *realizes* You went to my school didn't you?!

    Forest: *surprised* Y-yeah, I did.

Fen Fen: *climbs onto Autumn's back*

Autumn: Yeah, I remember now! You were the one who always made really good art!

    Forest: *blushes* Yeah, that's me.

Autumn: But, I heard you moved to Canterlot.

Forest: Yeah I did. I actually just moved back here recently.

Autumn: Really? So why are you in this program?

Forest: I was told it'd be a good way to make a friend.

    Autumn: *stunned* R-really?!

    Forest: Y-yeah.

Well now, that, that was unexpected.

Autumn: So then, why did you want to move in with a mare?

Forest: I didn't, necessarily. I kind of left it open for either a mare or stallion.

    Autumn: *surprised*

Forest: *nervous* Um, i-is something wrong?

    Autumn: Hmm! Oh nothing.

No nothing's wrong, I've only just found the one stallion in Equestria who's not a complete jerk!

Autumn: Just thinking about what it'll be like to be roommates.

Forest:*surprised* Wait, really? Y-you're fine with me? Cause I know there's an option to just try another pony and all.

Autumn: Oh I know, I've already tried this thing four times.

    Forest: *surprised* Really?

Autumn: Yup. You're really nervous you know. Are you afraid your marefriend'll be jealous you're living with another cute mare?

    Forest: *bashful* O-oh, uh, n-no. I-I don't have a marefriend.

Autumn: Oh so you've got a coltfriend then.

    Forest: N-no! I don't really do that.

Autumn: *realizes* Oh, so you're single then.

Forest: Yeah. I'm not really interested in that stuff at all really.

Ah ok that makes sen. . . Wait, did he just say what I think he said?
  • Page 22
Autumn: *gets right in front of Forest* WAIT WHAT! YOUR'E NOT INTERESTED IN LOVE!

Forest: *shocked, flustered* WHA! Uuuh, n-no. N-not r-really.

Autumn: *double shocked* *gets muzzle to muzzle with Forest* WHAT! But, relationships are amazing! They're fun and awesome and romantic and you get to have hot sex with your partner! How can you not be into that!?

Forest: *blushing flustered* Uhhhh, ummm, aaahhh, I-I-I, Uhhh

    Fen Fen: *snickers*

Autumn: This cannot stand! *embraces Forest* Forest! As your new friend I, Autumn Science, shall get you a mare friend! *over-dramatic pose*

Forest:*confused flustered* Ummm, uh ok. Wait. A-am I really your friend?

Autumn: Of course! You're the first stallion I've met who's actually nice.

Forest: *surprised* Really? Wow, uh, thanks Autumn.

Autumn: No problem. *levitates a key* Now, let's take a look at the house they gave us.

Forest: *happy* Y-yeah, that'd be nice.

Autumn: *unlocks house and walks in*

Well, take that Mom! You were wrong, again! And I couldn't be happier about it. This guy is unlike any of the other stallions I've met, which makes me think there's more like him. Thank you Forest for showing me that not all stallions are assholes. I think this roommate thing is going to work out, I really think, things might be looking up for me.
